Today was a restful day for the team as we prepared for camp. This morning we even got to sleep in some! After breakfast, we had team devotions and had a debrief from yesterday. A lot of the team was struck by the level of poverty we saw yesterday during our home visits in the slums. Afterwards, Andrew gave us a tour of the OneLife campus where we’ll be holding camp next week. We also organized our supplies for camp.
After lunch, Andrew and Stephanie told us about the ministry of OneLife. They support high school students by financing tuition. They also hold several week-long camps throughout the year - one of them being the camp we’re hosting next week. The team split into our teaching teams and finalized details for our teachings during camp. We are praying that God uses our lessons to open the hearts of the students coming to camp to the gospel.
This evening before dinner, Andrew took us on a long walk around the property that led to a beautiful overlook. We are enjoying spending time with Andrew, Stephanie, their sons, and the staff here at OneLife.
