India Team Update #4

Shared by Chris Hash - We had perfect weather today! Yesterday was rainy and cold, and I had to borrow a shawl to keep warm. The roads are unbelievable, with everything from pedestrians and buffalo carts to semis. We even saw two camels in the mix today. Horns are constantly blowing, not from impatience or rudeness, but to let people know you’re there. Scooters and cycles weave in and out, and pedestrians are often on their phones and not paying attention. There are three-wheeled rickshaws, big enough for four or five or ten…

We were taken to a bilingual church service led by an Indian pastor on Sunday. The Singhs attended here before they moved to their present location, so they knew most of the people there. The congregation of about 50-60 worshiped meaningfully in English praise songs, but raised the roof during the Hindi songs. Nothing compares to hearing people praising God in their heart language; it was beautiful. We were also blessed to be there for a baby dedication. The little girl was given a Hebrew name meaning, “God is her father” - Alayah.

I'm blessed to be able to help cook lunches for our team with Rebecca's wonderful cooking skills and her niece to help also, we have been eating well.

Keep praying for us!
