Today was our first full day of camp!🎉
We started the morning with breakfast and devos, which really helped us refocus on the true purpose for us being here. We had our main session, which included worship lead by our Kenyan counselors, a devo, a fun game led by Tyson and Alona, and a lesson on Ephesians 1 led by Tim and Laura Leigh! We then transitioned into our small groups. During small groups, we got to know our students a bit more and asked discussion questions related to the lesson. After lunch, we heading to our team game on the field - dodgeball! Each student is either on team red, green, white, or black team (each team led by 4 of us!) We’ll compete throughout the week with a winner at the end of the week. After team game, the students had a choice of sports or arts & crafts. The sports activity was football (soccer) and the arts & crafts activity was watercolor painting! We then headed to dinner, and ended the night with a movie with the entire camp! It was a very full day, but we have already seen the Lord move in moments and conversations with the campers. They seem all very engaged, excited, and eager to learn - praise God!
Please continue to pray for our health and energy. Pray that these students continue to have a fun time while learning to truly believe in God’s infinite love for them. Pray that they all can fully experience the joy of genuinely following Jesus Christ. Pray for the Lord to continue to give us strength as we may encounter spiritual and physical trials this week!
