Today was a good day. we started with devos and reflection at our global partner’s community center followed by a time of prayer for each individual student that signed up for the film camp. We prayed against any evil hindering them to attend. We prayed that they would feel comfortable and stress free considering this is the same week as their midterms.
But most importantly we prayed that Jesus would work miraculously in ther lives whether short or long term.
I think it is safe to say that many of us were still feeling tired /weary from travel. But once our time with the students began, there was clearly a change in energy. It
seemed like a big prayer was answered - the ice was broken almost immediately.
Todays class was on storytelling (specifically in movies, books ect.)
We ended the night by planning and filming a short, simple commercial within our three different groups.
We hope to show each film at the begining of tomorrow’s class and are anticipating many laughs and hopefully more comradery.
The past two days we have been able to observe the city and meet with the few believers here, but tonight seemed like somewhat of a turning point. We care for these 10-15 Students. They are so kind, warm, ambitious, respectful, and loving. But there is a lot of sadness too. They are lost.
And in need of a saviour. in my mind it might seem impossible to get Jesus through to these students, but over and over we’ve seen the goodness of God in our own lives. We’ve seen lives radically changed by the gospel and we know that nothing is impossible with him.
