English camp is in full swing!
Today we were with the children in the morning, late afternoon, and evening. We are working on the timeline of Joseph. Today the classes were taught about colors (since Joseph had a coat of many colors). Later, we used the family of Joseph (brothers, father, etc...) to teach about the family tree. We reviewed the terms grandmother, grandfather, aunt, uncle, etc...then helped the kids create their own version of their family tree.
The meals, as usual, were delicious! I for one have been so grateful to not need to do cleaning or cooking while here. I feel very spoiled!
The afternoon contained our rotations. Anna and I assisted each of the 3 classes to do color by number papers to give them a little extra help with numbers and colors. It was a relaxing time as we joined them and had Christian music playing overhead.
In the evening, everyone joined together in the elementary school classroom for joint evening activities. Children could choose between playing in the gym with teachers Hayden and Rachel, or staying in the classroom with the remaining teachers to make bead bracelets or to play table games Uno and Spot It. The children appeared to be having a great time!
