Today, Cambodia celebrated the King's mother's birthday. Our team joined members of the church to use the holiday as an opportunity to introduce the Gospel to the neighbors surrounding the Cell group in the Lime District.
We celebrated the 2 years that this cell group has been meeting; Pisal and Sophorn meet with them weekly for Bible study. This Cell group is located in a village that has no other Christian witness. The couple who host the group invited 25 families who are poor and need help, plus they invited the village leader and his wife. We welcomed them, women from the group led us in singing, we told the story of creation and Jesus our Savior, then Pisal told his testimony. We prayed over those who are hurting. Then we passed out basic food needs like rice, noodles, and sauces. When the program was finished, we had curry together.
We pray that through meeting Christians, these people will want to come and learn more about God and King Jesus.
In the evening, we celebrated the marriage of a young Christian couple by attending their wedding reception. The picture attached is of the bride and her 2 sisters. The sisters work at Kingdom International Preschool. We pray they will build a home with the Lord at the center.
