Hello from the Balkans!
Day three of camp was a success! New kiddos are attending every day, which is so exciting. Today’s themes, brought to us by Iron Man himself, were problem solving and teamwork. The students worked together to make towers using only spaghetti noodles and marshmallows, played games emphasizing the theme, and heard a book about a daring airplane rescue. They did a great job working together, even through cultural differences.
This evening we helped an international outreach group set up for an outdoor performance. However, there was an unusually long lasting thunderstorm and the event was cancelled. There was a lot of interest shown after last night’s performance, so please pray connections will be made and maintained.
The team is definitely feeling the exhaustion brought on by the heat, jet lag and busyness of our days. But, God promises… “those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.’ Isaiah 40:31
