Here we are. God put us right where we are for a reason. We are on mission. We began this day with a morning Bible study digging into Mark eight. We were challenged in verse thirty-four which is to deny ourselves, pick up our cross, and follow Jesus. We then drove off to the church for the morning and prepared for the vacation Bible school. As the kids were beginning to show up, it has been really refreshing to interact with the natives early in the morning. We have been having the privilege to get to know them and genuinely talk to them showing our care for them.
Our first day of the VBS did not bring as many kids as we were expecting. So, we have been praying the Lord would bring in many more kids. It is exciting that there were a significantly higher number of kids today. Thank you, Lord! That was really encouraging for the team as we saw the Lord answer our prayer. After the VBS, we had time to reflect on how it went and how we can improve. We later headed over to the soccer camp and were thrilled to see the lord bring so many more kids than the day before. Sports are a great gateway to build relationships with the kids. Half-way through the camp, we had the privilege to share the gospel and have spiritual conversations with the kids. After we debriefed from the soccer camp, it was so encouraging to hear how many children have put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ! We then wrapped up the day with testimony time from Kyle and Marie with the team.
Thank you, Lord for all you are doing in and through us. Keep our eyes focused on you, daily. Give us opportunities to share the gospel naturally as we interact with people.
