Our second Sunday morning brought us to a new church. We ate breakfast and headed almost 30 seconds down the road to the church service. The energy was very high from the beginning. The team stood up and introduced themselves and Alex shared his testimony and why we’re here. This was followed with upbeat, moving worship and a wonderful (but long!) message on John 15 and the Lord’s desire for us to remain connected to Him. After church, we headed back for lunch and a couple hours of rest.
This weekend has been so beneficial for us to recharge so there were games, naps and reading. At 4 o’clock the boys headed out for an evening of waterfall swimming and dinner. The girls had the privilege of hosting a tea for the ladies of the church. We all sat with new people and were able to have good, relational conversations as we head into this week with them. Christy gave a short, yet inspiring message on how we are God’s precious treasure. Annika followed that by briefly sharing her testimony. We spent the evening snacking and making bracelets that read, “Worthy, Loved and Chosen”. We continued to connect and be encouraged by older women speaking into our young lives. The night concluded with our team meeting, Alex & Brynn’s testimony and praying as we head into a new week of VBS. We are excited to see how the Lord will work this week and how we will be able to leave another impact on even more kids! Pray for endurance, love and patience as we pour into these children and spread the gospel!
