We had a greatly impactful last day of missions in Saint Lucia. We started off our morning at VBS where over 100 kids gathered to hear the word of Jesus. Camp began with worship and a lesson. Claire and Jackson Rice taught the story of Jesus’s death and resurrection and ended with explaining the gift of salvation that Christ offers to everyone. We then moved to stations. Sara and Nathan ran sack races during gametime, Annika and Jackson gave the kids Oreos as a special last day treat during snack, Eli and Aiden explained and helped the kids make gospel bracelets for craft, and David and Brynn helped with memory verse. Camp ended with more worship and the kids were given the opportunity to stand if they had accepted Jesus into their hearts this week. So many kids stood! We all enjoyed forming new relationships and sharing the gospel with this week’s kids and were sad to see them go. We headed to soccer shortly after VBS was completed and worked as hard as we could to share the gospel one last time to the kids. A large soccer game was run for the older players and the younger kids played on a small field. We continued with half time testimony sharing where Logan shared a short story about finding worth in the Lord, not in the sport we play. We broke into small groups one last time to share the gospel and completed soccer camo with another half of playing. Back at home, we celebrated our success with a wonderful meal and good conversation of how the Lord has worked in and through us throughout the past two weeks of missions. Please pray for safe travels home and that the Lord would protect our hearts as each of us arrive home and do our best to persist in sharing our faith with everyone.
