Leadership Summit : Day 2

We are so thankful for another good day here at the One Life Africa campus. After a night of thunder, lightning, and rain, we started our second day of the Leadership Summit. It was forecast to rain throughout the late morning and into the evening hours but it has been a beautiful 72 degree day. Turns out that meteorologists in Kenya are as trustworthy as their colleagues in PA. As of now, we are all in good health although a bit tired.
I began the conference day by teaching the need for leaders to determine the right priorities in life, Margaret taught on how to begin an inductive study based on James 1 and, after lunch, Mark talked about the spiritual practice of journaling. We were then able to have some quality time with these Kenyan leaders while decorating their starter journals that we gave as gifts. We know that God is slowly removing barriers as we attempt to build relationships with the young adults here. We ask you to continue to pray for openness and for conversations about everyday things (during the structured discussion group times as well as the informal conversations) to become bridges to help them take meaningful steps in their spiritual and leadership journeys. We see the effectiveness of your prayers as we see God working in this ministry team as well.
