Requirements
Prerequisites
- You must have domestic medical insurance prior to departure
- You must clear a background check
Responsibilities
- If you are a medical professional, you will be conducting medical appointments in UPG river villages
- If you are non-medical, you will be putting on a VBS while the community receives medical help
- Be flexible and adaptable
Restrictions
- You must be 18 years old or older
- You must hold a valid passport for 6 months beyond the travel dates
- You must be in good health and be able to work in hot and humid conditions without air-conditioning
- You must be able to live on a boat and sleep in a hammock
- 50% of the team will be medical and the other 50% will be working with kids
- If you are a medical professional, your certifications must be up to date
Preparation
- Attend all trainings
- Support Raise
- You must be 50% funded 3 months before departure *See "Terms and Conditions" in the application
