Call to Action

The poorest of the poor living in the Mathare slum, Kenya’s second largest urban slum, face eviction due to the devastating floods that forced residents out of their homes. The government is threatening to demolish the tin shanties along the riverbank that are prone to flooding in Mathare Valley’s informal settlement. The water supply has been contaminated by open sewers and cholera and malaria are becoming significant concerns.

Pray for relief for these residents as they tackle these difficult challenges and for suitable food, housing, and access to medicine.
