Today was day 4 of camp. Our second to last day. While most events during the day are chaotic, we have begun to settle into a familiar rhythm. For morning devotions, everyone on the team shared how they have seen God work in their lives on this trip. It was so encouraging to see how God is working not only on the lives of the students at camp but also in myself and the rest of the team.

During the main session Kayla and Tyson taught from Ephesians 4 about putting off the old self and putting on the new self. They explained the importance of walking differently in community.

While there are 8 different small groups, each with their own challenges and success, the small group times today were fruitful. Many students were able to ask deep spiritual questions and share meaningful personal stories. In our small group, students asked questions about whether or not we are Gods prisoners because we have to follow his rules and questions that allowed us to explain the Gospel.

It rained again for the third day in a row over our afternoon free time which meant that any outside games with students couldn’t happen. This, however, opened up opportunities to do craft projects and play games indoors which can allow for more intentional conversations. I got the chance to talk to one student for over an hour and learn more about them, their family and their spiritual journey. I know many other members of our team were also able to have deep and meaningful conversations.

We greatly appreciate your continued support through prayer. It is truly vital to the success of our team. Below are some additional prayer updates:
1.) Please pray for the continued health and rest of our team as some of us are recovering from illness and even more are beginning to feel under the weather.
2.) I would appreciate prayers for the teaching tomorrow. Laurie and I will be teaching through Ephesians 5 for the last day of camp. Please pray that we would be able to communicate our message well, that our message would prompt fruitful discussion in small groups, and that God would work through what we communicate.
3.) Pray that the relational foundation that we have built on the first 4 days of camp would enable our interactions with students tomorrow to be especially fruitful.
