Today we left the One Life campus and headed to the Mara. On our way to the Mara, we got stuck in what we thought was “traffic” but what actually happened was a group of people had put barriers in the middle of the road so they could bribe the police to fix a specific road. They would not allow anyone through until government officials fixed the problem. We were waiting for a couple hours, hanging out with the locals, and teaching them dances. At this point we still didn’t know that it was a “bus napping”, meaning that these protesters let cars and buses in and then blocked us from behind until they got what they wanted.
After waiting several hours, through Andrew’s connections, we were able to walk through the line of cars to meet our new ride that Andrew called and we were on our way again. This whole time we felt safe and Andrew was with us the whole time.
After traveling for 7 hours we got to the Mara. We went on our first game drive and had a blast!

Prayer request: Pray for the team’s health as some of us got sick throughout the week. Thank you all so much!
