The last two days have flown by! Yesterday we arrived midday jet jagged but excited to start exploring! Our global partner got us settled in and then took us up to the highest part of the city for a great view and spot to pray over the place and people we will be serving this week.
Since then we’ve also been able to go through an orientation, attend a house church, meet people, and eat lots and lots of good food! But our first taste of the city, standing on the peak looking down, set our time off well.
There are so many people lost here. So many people divided. And so many barriers and risks involved even for people who are open. But even in the face of darkness, God is on the move and our prayers are powerful.
As we go into this week, we thank you for praying with us and ask you to lift up these things in particular:
- Pray that God brings the right students to attend, even if that means there will be less students than we imagine.
- Pray that our team would be (and be seen as) trustworthy among the students.
- Pray that God would protect the technology we’ll be using and our team unity from the schemes of the enemy!
