Prep Day and Worship Night

Hey All!

Thank you so much for surrounding us with your faithful prayer support. We are deeply grateful. What a long, hot day it was that ended in a wonderful night of worship. After breakfast, Rachel gave us a tour of the Word of Life campus and Bible school here in Laguna. We were blessed to hear many testimonies of how God has provided so much for everything to be built debt free over the years. We saw the house her parents built here many years ago (former Global Partners). We caught a glimpse of her dad's well-worn, marked-up Bible in the library that the college students use. My heart was very moved by that.

Most of the team spent late morning into early afternoon preparing a lot for registration, our evening event, and tomorrow's breakout sessions. It was great teamwork, and we feel prepared for tomorrow. I spent the day working through our songs with a team of vocalists and musicians. We spent time in prayer and rehearsed 9am-12, took a break for lunch, and then rehearsed again from 2:30 to 5:30. Our event began at 7pm and Mirah did a wonderful job bringing the devotional. We all felt so proud of her and how she is thriving and growing in the leadership gifts God has created in her.

My favorite part of the evening was leading 150 ladies in worship of our Lord & Savior & King JESUS. They really sang out and were so expressive, especially as we sang "Great Are You Lord". I saw hands raised and tears in their eyes. My heart felt so full and joyful to see such an atmosphere of worship. In every location we've gone, I start the events by telling them that I couldn't wait to get here to worship cross-culturally. But then I share that the Lord laid on my heart that we are all in ONE culture as sisters in the Body of Christ, as daughters of the King of Kings. We share the culture of the Kingdom of God.

Love, Johanna
