All the praying and planning we’ve done over the last few months came to fruition today as our students arrived and registered for the first day of our Leadership Summit. We trust God was honored as the Kenyan leaders led us in worship songs and dances. Jon gave us a great lesson about Marks of a Leader, and the students responded in their follow-up discussion groups, focusing on stability as a necessary trait.
Erika taught the Power and Purpose of God’s Word, and students practiced what they learned about the four movements of the Bible’s big story and the different genres of Biblical literature.
Mark spoke in the afternoon about our Spiritual Identity, asking questions like “Who is God?” and “Who is man?” In their groups, students discussed how their understanding of God’s identity and their identity could impact the way they live.
Later the students enjoyed crafts and games as they got to know one another better. Your prayers are certainly a big part of the success of our first day, so we count on you to continue to bring us before the Lord as you remember our ministry here.
