Our day started with a beautiful sunrise and breakfast before we gathered with the students for our final day of the Leadership Summit. The first session included worship songs like “How Great Thou Art” and “Blessed Assurance” led by the Kenyan worship team. After a personal testimony, Jon taught a lesson about the importance of community and mentorship. The second session of the morning was presented by Erika, and she challenged us with how to get through the "wall" from application of God's Word to obedience. After lunch students shared presentations before Cheryl gave her testimony. Mark taught the final lesson of the week by teaching about Prayer, Confession, and Forgiveness. During the craft time the students were provided materials to make a personal bracelet which highlighted the word FOUNDED. Our week concluded with a banquet celebration to honor the students and present them with a certificate and gifts. Tomorrow morning we will pack our bags and say goodbye to the students we have grown to love here in Kenya.
